Why should I ride an E-bike?

Electric bikes are many things to many people, some use them as a vital tool for commuting, saving fuel, cutting transport costs and time. Whilst some people enjoy recreational rides, where you can go out traveling all day without the aggravation of steep hills. On the other extreme we have hardcore mountain bikers using an electric bike to beat up lifts. Of course whatever you ride up you get to hurtle back down. Generally you can get a lot more use in a day and cover more ground on an electric bike.

We have various variants. In 250 W we have Thor, Troy and Panther V4. In 350 W, we have Thor Commute, Hunter and Hunter Plus. In 500 W we have Panther V4 and Thunder V4.

The 250W E-bikes are road legal and 500W E-bikes can be used for off-road rides.

E Movement is a UK brand with a local customer service and repair facility. All our products are shipped next day from within the UK with a delivery time of 2 – 3 working days.

All our bikes have quality hydraulic 160mm disc brakes.

Yes, we do have them. Hunter, Hunter plus and Troy are step through bikes.

The bikes have 3,5,9 level of power assist. Its usually set on level 5. The plus (up) and minus (down) buttons on the display are for power assist.

We provide free side stand, lights, lock and tool kit with every bike. Hunter and commute has additional free set of fenders. Panther V4 has free set of fenders and a rear rack as well.

Yes, we provide Finance through Snap Finance, Klarna and Payl8r, which are leading finance providers.

For Klarna, you can apply from our website at check out. However for Snap Finance, you need to call us on 01483 363 063. We will need few details to apply for you.

You have a legal right to return the product within fourteen (14) days of delivery without giving a reason. You will be entitled for a full refund excluding the 2 way shipping cost.

Of course, you can book an appointment with us, we can talk you through your riding style and requirements and offer expert advice as to which model to select. We will be able to advise particular E-bike and talk them through in more detail. You will also have the opportunity to ride a demo bike for a test ride.

Our bikes are 100% assembled when it comes to electric parts / cables and 90% about frame etc. In most of the cases, you need to fix front wheel, handle bar and pedals. To power on, first twist the ignition key clockwise. For Hunter Bike, press the ON/OFF button on the battery beneath seat, before ignition. For Thunder / Panther V4, long press the power button (the centre button) on left side of handle bar till the display lights up. It shall be pressed for about 10 sec. For Hunter / Commute Bike, press the power button (the centre button) on the display (left side on handle bar) for a few seconds till the display lights up. For, Thunder Plus / Thunder Bikes, long press the power button (the bottom button) on left side of handle bar till the display lights up. It shall be pressed for about 10 sec. For Thor / Troy, they do not have an ignition key. Press the power button on the left side of handle bar for few seconds till the display lights up.

Battery performance and range can never be measured accurately as there are many factors involved in it. Temp, riders weight, riding habit and terrain are main factors affecting performance. We use best cells (LG / Samsung ) which provides maximum range and charging cycles in comparison to other batteries.

There are 2 main reasons for this fault. Either the display settings are altered, or the wire for Twist and Go is damaged. Please check the original display setting from our Youtube Channel https://www.youtube.com/c/EMovementofficial/videos. If the problem persists, contact us for advise.

The rear gears are not linked with digital display. They can only be changed from thumb shifter located on the right side of handle. Please select the appropriate gear while pedalling. Do Not change gears without pedalling. Also gradually change the gears as abrupt change may dislodge the chain and cause big damage.

Creaking sound though annoying, but easy to settle. It is mainly due to dirty or worn out brake pads. If the brakes pads are worn out, change them. Other wise cleaning them with a sand paper or any brake spray will do the magic.

E Bikes requires same maintenance like conventional bikes. Routine cleaning, checking of brake pads, pedals and any loose bolts.

If you regularly clean and maintain your electric longboard, it will last a long time and ride at its best:

• Always clean your bearings for best roll and quietest / smoothest ride. Bearings get dirty and affect ride quality which may reduce battery performance and cause possible bearing failure.

• Always check all screws/nuts throughout the skateboard are tight (truck nuts, wheel nuts etc). You are responsible for this.

• Rotate the wheels on the skateboard as you would do so with any longboard skateboard, as the drive wheels will wear the fastest.

• Regularly clean & check the belt and drive gear for any damage. Replace if necessary.

• Always store your board at room temperature.

• Clean your board from dust and dirt so its looks and rides as new at all times. Use a damp & dry cloth to clean.

• Make sure motors are clean and free of excess play or strange noises. If they get really hot whilst riding, give them some time to cool down.

• Your battery and your board, should always be stored at room temperature. Excessive heat can permanently affect or damage the battery. The board does have heat protection software in place should this occur whilst riding to prevent the battery from overheating.

• If left in a hot car, hot environment or exposed to other factors that may cause excessive heat, the heat protection software can’t reduce temperatures, and your battery may be affected.

• Cold temperatures will affect battery life and power output. If you are riding in low temperatures you may experience lower range, top speed and acceleration. Exposing the battery to excessively low temperatures may have a permanent effect or cause damage.

• The battery cannot charge past 42 volts as the charger has voltage cutoff detection installed, however we recommend removing it from charge once the charger shows green.

• If you are not using your battery for a prolonged period of 3 MONTHS OR MORE, it is recommended to STORE IT in room temperature leaving it fully charged. Must charge the battery once in 3 months to avoid damage to the battery.
